Since the early years of the club, PWRC has produced some of the worlds best paddlers in the sport of Canoe Slalom. We continue this tradition with many of our athletes currently representing the US on the Jr, U23 and Senior National Teams, and a handful even biding for the Tokyo Olympic Spot. 

We have groups of athletes ranging from novice to expert, and offer coaching year round once they are of a certain ability level (no off season here!). 

As a member of the team you can expect coaching multiple times a week, and at the higher levels daily coaching (sometimes 2x per day), and other off water training such as running and lifting. Our athletes also travel to training camps at the whitewater centers in Charlotte NC and Oklahoma City OK, and races around the US. Athletes of certain levels are also invited to train and compete in  European Canoe Association races all around Europe!

In order to be eligible for coaching, all athletes must be members in good standing of the American Canoe Association (ACA) and fill out and sign the required ACA liability waiver and COVID waivers.
