Among more than 300 competitors, PWRC juniors had a strong showing in last weekend’s (June 23-24) European Canoe Association’s (ECA) Junior Slalom Cup in Augsburg, Germany. Most noteworthy, Joshua Joseph and Marcella Altman were 3rd overall in the men’s K1 under 18 and women’s K1 under 14 divisions, respectively. Congratulations to Joshua and Marcella!!

Michaela Corcoran was 4th overall in women’s C1 under 16, while Madison Corcoran was 2nd in Sunday’s women’s K1 under 16 division.

Also very impressive showings from Davis Jung in his first international race and Nathaniel Francis in his first international race in C1!

Kaelin Friedenson and Robert Healy generated strong runs in both C1 and K1 in the highly competitive men’s under 16 divisions. Well done everyone and a big thanks to Silvan!  Now on to Bratislava, Slovakia

The next Dickerson Access List will be updated on March 1, 2018.

Please read the following completely…

Potomac Whitewater Racing Center is a whitewater training center under the auspices of the American Canoe Association. Membership dues help the PWRC maintain access and facilities at NRG’s Dickerson Whitewater Course, the Feeder Canal, and the Model Basin.

Potomac Whitewater Racing members will receive cards allowing them access to Dickerson. Pink Cards permit admittance to the course with a Potomac Whitewater Racing-certified coach.  Blue Cards are for advanced paddlers having passed the Blue Card Dickerson test and allow unrestricted access with another blue card holder present. Green Cards are for Potomac Whitewater Racing certified coaches and allow them to bring in pink card holders. PWRC membership is also required for Model Basin Access and weight room use.

All club members wishing to get on the PWRC Dickerson list must submit proof of current ACA membership when joining. If you have not yet submitted a notarized access agreement for Dickerson, please do so and mail to Stace Kimmel.

Note to parents: that for minors both parents have to notarize the access agreement.
